June 2025: Due to the reappearance of some first day covers with bogus cachets from a large collection first found in 2004, I have made available the section of my FDC Exhibiting book dealing with bogus cachets as well as an article by Carol Shelton that appeared in the August 9, 2004 issue of Linn's explaining the history of the controversy.
